In the third part of my series of essential oils for constipation relief, I am going to look at how massage can be used to alleviate this problem. One of the most common causes of constipation is straining while going to the bathroom. One way that you can combat this is with essential oils. With a little bit of massage, you can not only help your body get rid of the stool, but you will also end up alleviating your symptoms.
The first essential oil that we will look at for this problem is ginger. As you may already know, ginger is an herbal remedy for almost everything. It can also be used as a detoxifying agent and to relieve the uncomfortable side effects of digestive problems such as constipation. Here, I will be reviewing the benefits of ginger oil, as well as what you can do with it during your next bowel movement.
One of the easiest ways that you can use essential oils for constipation relief is to make ginger tea. You simply add boiling water to a cup of freshly cut ginger leaves and allow them to steep for about five minutes. After that, strain the tea through a strainer into a glass, adding honey as a sweetener. For a delicious tea, add a teaspoonful of honey and some fresh lemon juice.
In addition to using ginger essential oil, you can also use a few other natural remedies during your bowel movements. Some of the other natural remedies that you can use are aloe vera, grapefruit, and Cayenne pepper. Aloe vera has been proven to be very soothing for irritated and dry skin. Since this is the case, it can help to reduce discomfort from your bowel movement. Cayenne pepper is known to be an effective colon cleanser and can help relieve symptoms as well.
If you would like to be even more relaxed, you may want to try inhaling sage tea or peppermint tea. Both of these essential oils are great for relieving stress and tension. It is also possible for you to make a hot mixture of baking soda, coconut oil, and Cayenne pepper, which you will inhale through small, tea-sized drops.
If you are experiencing a health problem, you should also consider using essential oils for constipation relief. While it is not always possible to determine whether or not a particular health problem is caused by dehydration, you can discover if you have any rectal bleeding or any stomach or intestinal issues by using the best essential oils for specific health problems. If you are experiencing stomach pain or heartburn, for instance, you will be able to determine whether or not it is due to dehydration by inhaling the steam of a pot full of boiling water or taking a twenty minute bubble test.
One other way to determine if there might be a problem is by using the same method when you are determining if you have digestive problems. Simply take two drops of each of the essential oils listed above. Do you experience any discomfort after inhaling them? If you do, then these particular essential oils for digestion may be right for you.
In addition, you may want to consider diluting the essential oils before applying them topically. If you are using the essential oils as a topical ointment, then it is highly recommended that you purchase concentrated plant essential oils. This is because using a less concentrated product will usually yield better results than undiluted products. Always dilute the essential oils with a carrier such as olive oil before applying them.
